This book is NOT a romantic comedy as described....Although I suppose it had it's funny moments with little Izzie's escapades...The story itself was palpable with "emotion", NOT comedic...I'll be honest - I really didn't like Carson too much through most of the book....I thought his parenting was poor - even though you knew he was trying - and deceiving Grace about exactly what kind of "cafe" he was opening was mean...I LOVED Grace from the "Tick, Tick, Tick" beginning : )....I empathized with her overcoming the tragedy in her past and I just loved the patience and care she showed Izzie...Carson paid way too much time remembering that lousy ex-wife and wasn't really very nice to Grace throughout much of the book....Carson and Grace's chemistry right from the start is what made me love this story - even though they were fighting throughout more than half of the story - I "felt" the attraction and heat...I wanted to choke Carson for giving Izzie false hope and for hurting Grace in the process...(Men are stupid) : )
But as romance stories end - I couldn't have asked for a better one than this! SO SWEET!!!!

I absolutely loved this book.....loved....loved.....loved. I craved a sweet light hearted book that would touch my heart and this was perfect, just perfect. The hesitation to give your heart to someone after it has been broken is normal, doing it is heroic. This book reminded me that second chances are gifts that you should cherish and not run from. I also fell head over heels for Izzy. She craves a family and when her plans do not go as planned, she just decides there is a better plan and pushes it. She gets what she wants and a bubble bath and fake champagne to boot. I love that kid and I loved this book.
The story was OK, but the fact that there was absolutely no effort to present a finished product that I would not buy one of her books again. I caught my self re-wording sentences so that they made sense.
I would have given it 5 stars except for the contrived misunderstanding at the end. **Spoiler** I don't think it's credible that the H's ex-wife would suddenly act so out of character and come and spend 3 days with her daughter. Otherwise I enjoyed the story very much.
What a wonderful storyline with really wonderful characters. I enjoyed this storyline so much and all of the characters, especially the hero and heroin. The love story was written with a lot of tenderness and good feelings. This was a very enjoyable book.
Heartwarming, romantic happily ever after. BUT toooooo many grammatical mistakes that took away from the feel good of the story. Frustrating. Editors do your job please.
Six year old Izzie (Isabella) is on the hunt for a mother figure, and Grace has a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. Her biological clock is going into warp speed, and her life is slipping through her fingers. In spite of or perhaps because of Izzie's whirlwind, out-of-control life, Grace falls hard. Even though Carson Price is less than honest about his new business, he is a gorgous hunk and wins Grace in the end.
I enjoyed this story, although it came off a little more 'sweet romance' than the cover looks. And I liked Izzie's role, but there was a too much kid stuff in this romance for me. That said, I did like the scene at the end, involving her. There was (as I recall) one love scene, but it was not overly explicit. Except for too much telling and repetition of information and back story--and once saying the heroine was blonde while describing her as brunette the rest of the time ('...the entire group was quiet, all eyes on the tall blonde')-- the writing was fairly good. Not spectacular, but all in all, an enjoyable read. Three stars.
